Hello everyone, My name is [Priya Sharma], and I’m currently a college student studying Bachelor of Arts .. I have a strong interest in technology and how it can be used to make our lives easier. I’m really excited to be here with you today to help you get comfortable using a computer. Whether you're starting from zero or just want to learn more, this class is for you. I remember when I first started learning, it was all new and a little overwhelming—but with practice and patience, it became second nature. And that’s exactly what I hope for you too! This is ideal for beginners who may have little or no experience with computers. --- Basic Computer Class Outline Module 1: Introduction to Computers What is a computer? Types of computers (desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone) Basic parts of a computer (CPU, monitor, keyboard, mouse) Turning the computer on/off properly Module 2: Operating System Basics What is an operating system? (Windows/macOS/Linux – focus on what students will use) Desktop, taskbar, icons Using a mouse: click, double-click, right-click, drag Using the keyboard: typing basics, function keys Module 3: File Management What are files and folders? Creating, renaming, and deleting files/folders Saving and opening documents Introduction to file types (.docx, .jpg, .pdf, etc.) Module 4: Using Applications Introduction to common programs (Word, Excel, Notepad, Paint) How to open/close applications Basic functions in Microsoft Word (typing, formatting, saving) Module 5: Internet Basics What is the internet?
