About Sumit

My background is in Neuroscience and Biochemistry. I am passionate about scientific research and thoroughly enjoy sharing it with my students who I wish to inspire, encourage, and help grow their curiosity for knowledge.

I have been supporting students with GCSE sciences, A Level biology and chemistry and 11+ subjects since 2020. Students grow confidence, enthusiasm and a deeper understanding of the subject to help them perform strongly and excel in exams.
I have supported students from all backgrounds and interests, including those wishing to pursue science further or those who want to explore other avenues but need a little boost in their sciences!

About the lesson

Lessons are engaging, dynamic, and tailored to help students reach/excel their target grades, with many achieving 2-3 grades higher, including grades 9s, 8s, A* and A.

Lessons are £18/hour. Available online via Zoom and in person (based in St Albans) in small-group sessions.
Covering GCSE science (Yr10-11) and A Level Biology and Chemistry (Yr12-13) - all exam boards: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, IGCSE...

Teaching since 2020 and DBS-checked.
MRes Experimental Neuroscience - Imperial College London.
BSc (Hons) Biochemistry with Research Year (First Class, ranked 1st - Royal Society of Biology Award).

More Information:
Small group sessions online on Zoom. Over the 2 hours, we go through a topic as per the lesson plan or as requested by students, to build a strong understanding of the core concepts, key words and terminology, and exam questions, with regular homework set that we will spend time going through to ensure everyone knows how to approach questions, write concise answers and apply their knowledge.
