About Arthur
I am a Piano tutor with 14+ years of experience teaching school students, college students, and working professionals. I enjoy helping learners discover their musical abilities and become more confident through regular practice and personalized instruction.
I believe that every student learns differently. I start by understanding their experience, goals, interests, learning preferences, and available practice time. Based on this information, I create lessons that are comfortable, practical, and challenging at the right level.
My teaching covers piano basics, posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, note reading, sight-reading, ear training, song practice, improvisation, and performance skills.
I use practical demonstrations and familiar musical examples to make lessons engaging. I explain concepts in simple English and encourage students to apply new skills directly on the piano.
My teaching philosophy is built on patience, communication, flexibility, motivation, and positive feedback. I believe students should feel comfortable making mistakes because mistakes are a natural part of learning. I guide them patiently and show them how to improve.
I also teach students how to practice efficiently. Instead of spending long hours without a plan, I help them divide their practice into clear tasks and focus on specific goals.
One notable achievement in my 9-year career is gaining experience teaching students from different age groups and skill levels. This has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons and communicate effectively with different learners.
My goal is to develop students who are confident, disciplined, creative, and independent. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, I provide structured guidance based on your personal musical goals.

My piano teaching approach is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe students learn better when they actively participate in their lessons and feel that their individual needs are understood.
I begin by learning about the student's experience, musical interests, strengths, challenges, and goals. I then plan lessons that include piano technique, music theory, practice, and songs that match their level.
I teach posture, hand coordination, finger control, notes, rhythm, scales, chords, sight-reading, ear training, and musical expression. I use demonstrations, listening, written exercises, repetition, and practical playing to suit different learning preferences.
My flexible approach allows me to adjust lesson speed and difficulty based on progress. I provide more practice for challenging topics and introduce new skills when students are ready.
Collaboration is an important part of my methodology. I encourage students to choose suitable songs, share their interests, ask questions, discuss difficulties, and participate in setting goals.
I maintain a positive atmosphere where students can learn from mistakes without feeling discouraged. I provide clear feedback and encourage steady improvement.
In addition to piano, I can teach music theory, keyboard fundamentals, rhythm, chords, sight-reading, ear training, basic composition, and music appreciation. My goal is to make every lesson interactive, practical, and enjoyable.
