About Melanie
I’m a singing tutor with over 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre Voice. I specialise in delivering personalised lessons tailored to students of all levels—school, college, and adult/professional learners. My teaching covers a wide range of styles, including classical, pop, movie, and folk singing. I focus on developing strong ear training, harmony, improvisation skills, and a solid foundation in music theory. Building vocal confidence is at the heart of my lessons. Recording devices allow them to track progress, notice subtle improvements, and adjust techniques. I encourage experimentation with dynamics and tone to develop individual artistry. Feedback is structured yet motivational, ensuring steady growth. Short exercises boost quick wins, while longer pieces challenge endurance and skill. With consistency and guidance, both personas gain confidence, accuracy, and expressive freedom in their singing.
