About Evelyn
"I am an enthusiastic singing tutor with over 7 years of experience and an Associate of Music in Contemporary Vocal Techniques. I specialize in teaching young children and early teens using highly creative, playful, and engaging methods. My lessons focus on developing strong stage presence and natural confidence for upcoming school plays and local talent shows.
I actively use fun musical games, body movement, and storytelling to teach pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics. We explore a wonderful variety of music including classic folk songs, favorite Disney tunes, and popular family musicals. I make sure to practice safe, age-appropriate technique so that young voices grow strong without any vocal strain.
A big part of my approach involves building listening skills, general musicality, and a true sense of joy in music making. For example, I once helped a shy nine-year-old boy prepare for his very first school musical audition. We played vocal matching games and practiced his lines with physical movements until his nerves completely turned into excitement.
He ended up landing the lead role, which was an incredibly proud and rewarding moment for both of us. I believe that every child has a unique voice that deserves to be heard and celebrated in a positive environment. My studio is a warm, welcoming space where kids can safely experiment with their voices and build lifelong self-esteem.

"I offer warm, interactive, and goal-oriented singing lessons that help you cultivate your own unique musical voice. We focus heavily on singer-songwriter development, learning basic self-accompaniment on piano or guitar, and confidently performing your own original material. Our sessions cover essential creative skills like melody creation, shaping your lyrical flow, making distinct stylistic choices, and recording high-quality vocal demos.
To spark your creativity, I use a variety of fun writing prompts, collaborative exercises, and simple recording setups in our lessons. This approach is highly beneficial for singers who are used to performing in church choirs but want to step out as solo artists. I also love helping classical or traditional vocalists who want to cross over into contemporary pop, jazz, or acoustic music styles smoothly.
I remember working with a local church singer who wanted to write her own songs but felt nervous singing alone. We used simple guitar chords and a basic home mic setup to record her first demo, which completely built her confidence. Together, we will work step by step to refine your vocal delivery and help you connect deeply with your audience.
