About Jen

I am a working musician with over 10 years of experience working in the industry. I have had the opportunity to play at international showcases, UK-wide gigs, local festivals, and I am very involved in my local music scene. I am a singer, songwriter, guitarist, pianist and producer.
My focus as a teacher isn't just to help improve my students skills as singers, but to help improve their overall musicianship skills so they have the skills, knowledge and confidence to be a better overall musician, not just a singer.

About the lesson

I have over a decade of industry experience and have been working full-time as a singing teacher and community music practitioner for over a year.
My main focus is on contemporary genres (rock, pop, soul, blues, musical theatre etc).
As everyone's voice is different, I take an individualistic approach to each lesson in a way that is structured and as technique driven as possible. I start each lesson with a series of vocal warm-ups which are based in various techniques to help improve different parts of your voice. Then we would move on to performing a song of your choosing and begin to apply the techniques you've learned.
Lessons are either 30 minutes or 1 hour in length.
I offer lessons from ages 8 and up and any level.
