About Charlena
"Developing vocalists across various stages of their artistic growth remains my primary focus. I hold a BMus Music Performance from Victoria University of Wellington. 9 years of teaching have shaped my approach to technical precision and healthy sound production.
I focus on diction and articulation, vocal health and care, genre styling, sight singing, rhythm and phrasing, and pitch control. Working with students, I emphasize CLEAR GOALS and intentional practice habits. Discipline produces results."

"I structure time based on your specific vocal goals and technical requirements. Practice is purposeful.
My BMus background informs how I address complex phrasing and rhythmic accuracy in classical or pop styles. We review performance recordings together each month to track progress. These 9 years of instruction guide our 7 minute technical warmups and song study. You will find that mastering the mechanics of singing creates a deep musical enjoyment that lasts."
