About Michaela
I have tutored for nearly all of my undergrad, and have become a CRLA Level 1 Certified Tutor. Since my concentration is secondary education, I have taken specific coursework geared towards general education, as well as specifically physics education. I have worked with multiple undergrad introductory physics classes, creating review materials and holding review sessions. Additionally, I have worked directly with high school students in my field experience placements (education classes) as well as in giving physics demonstrations.

My tutoring/teaching is geared towards high school or college level introductory courses. I enjoy starting a lesson with a demonstration or hands-on activity if appropriate. Inquiry based learning is something that defines my teaching style, as I strive for students to make connections on their own. Getting down the concepts, before diving into the math, is of utmost importance in physics. As someone who struggled with physics at first, I know where students tend to get caught up with the concepts.
