About Leah

Hi! I’m a senior Political Science major with minors in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and History, currently in the process of applying to law school. My academic journey has given me a deep, well-rounded understanding of how governance works, having taken diverse coursework across all major fields of political science. Personally, I am deeply fascinated by political theory and institutional design, focusing on how our political systems are built and the ideas that shape them.
As a Parr Center for Ethics Scholar and student group leader at UNC, I spend a lot of time guiding discussions, breaking down complex arguments, and helping others find clarity in difficult topics. I maintain a 3.99 GPA and am a member of Pi Sigma Alpha (the National Political Science Honor Society). I know firsthand what it takes to excel in this major, and I am excited to share the study habits, writing strategies, and critical thinking skills that have helped me succeed with my students!

About the lesson

My lessons are all about working together to make complex political science truly digestible, ensuring you fully understand the material for yourself. Instead of just lecturing, we will go through your readings and course materials together, breaking down dense ideas and finding real-world ways to apply them. Beyond helping you study for upcoming exams and structure your research papers, my goal is to equip you with long-term tools. Through our sessions, you will not only master your current coursework but also build the sharp critical thinking and analytical skills you need to carry confidently into your future classes.
