About Melissa

Hello! I am a senior studying political science with minors in women and gender studies and legal studies! I am passionate about writing and do it a lot in my free time whether it was journaling or poetry. Moreover, I also enjoy reading in my free time. I am also a person who loves giving back to the world and sharing with others the knowledge I have and the skills that I have acquired to ensure others gain and learn from them. I am a firm believer that as humans we are an associative species who need each other, hence I am committed to helping others grow in areas which they are in need to advance.

About the lesson

I am dedicated to working closely with my students as creating a comfortable space is the most important aspect when relaying information and helping others understand a concept throughout my experience as a tutor.
I approach tutoring as a conversation where I am sharing knowledge and skills I have acquired to others who have not yet. I enjoy watching them develop in the areas that they lacked in the initial stages of tutoring.
I customize study plans based on the students need and work in the way which I see most effective with the particular student whether it was through focusing on visual aids, practice, test taking etc.
I am willing to tutor different levels from beginner to intermediate, any ages, based on the necessity and requirement of the student.
