My name is Zephaniah and I am enrolled in the University of Alberta nursing program along with Harleen. Harleen has achieved receiving one of the highest grades in our year. Harleen has also been able to use this knowledge to help other students and myself numerous times through a volunteer peer mentorship program. She has the experience, patience, and knowledge able to teach others. Harleen has also demonstrated her ability to use her knowledge in critical care setting situations. For example, during our clinicals, many students often turn to Harleen and ask her for assistance when unexpected situations arise such as patients having a decrease level of consciousness, low blood sugars, or vitals signs not within normal range. Having this skillset is important as Harleen will be able to teach students how to apply the knowledge they are learning to a real life situation.

Harleen is one of the kindest and most patient instructors I have ever met. Harleen goes out of her way to make sure students understand a concept and alters her teaching style specific to each student's learning needs. She is very knowledgeable and understanding of the situation. Harleen has worked with students with disabilities and exceeds at making students feel comfortable in their most difficult subjects.

Harleen is very passionate about her major and it shows in the way she is all for helping those around her. She was my peer tutor my first year of university and gave me lots of advice both academically and just life in general. Her door was always opened for us first years and she encouraged us to go to her for help with school. She’s attentive and patient, and she makes learning enjoyable. She’s also easy to talk to and kind so you don’t have to be hesitant about approaching her with any questions you may have. Overall, she would make an amazing teacher!

Harleen is an empathetic and passionate teacher, allowing her to foster a great learning environment! Her three years of extensive experience in the nursing field help her in communicating effective strategies to understand difficult concepts.

Harleen goes above and beyond the expectations in terms of being a “reliable tutor”. She was able to help me get 93% on my grade 12 English provincial. To this day she occasionally tutors me at the university level in various subjects beyond English.
