About Malliha

I’m Malliha, a product designer with an engineering background and over five years of professional experience in UX/UI design. I’ve worked across healthcare, fintech, and SaaS, designing web and mobile products used in complex, real-world environments. I bring a practical, structured, and professional approach to teaching. My experience working closely with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders allows me to teach strong product thinking, clear design rationale, and realistic workflows, not just visuals. As a tutor, I’m reliable, well-prepared, and focused on helping students make meaningful progress. I create a supportive learning environment, give clear and actionable feedback, and tailor each session to the student’s goals. Students can expect thoughtful guidance, industry-aligned practices, and lessons that build confidence, clarity, and job-ready skills.

About the lesson

My approach as a UX/UI tutor is practical, structured, and grounded in real industry experience. I focus on helping students understand not just how to design screens, but how to think like a product designer who solves real problems.

My teaching methodology is hands-on and project driven. I start by understanding each student’s background, goals, and current skill level, then tailor lessons accordingly. I combine fundamentals like UX principles, accessibility, and visual hierarchy with real-world workflows such as stakeholder alignment, design systems, and working with developers. I encourage students to explain their design decisions out loud so they build confidence in their thinking and communication, not just execution.

A typical lesson begins with a short review of concepts or feedback from previous work. We then move into a focused topic such as user research, wireframing, interaction design, or UI refinement. Most of the session is spent applying that concept to a real scenario. This could be improving an existing product, designing a feature from scratch, or preparing a case study. I end each lesson with clear next steps, practical exercises, and guidance on how to improve between sessions.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my engineering background combined with product design experience. I’ve worked on complex systems in healthcare, fintech, and SaaS, so I teach students how to design within real constraints. I also help bridge the gap between design and development by explaining how designs get built and how to communicate effectively with engineers. I place strong emphasis on storytelling, design rationale, and portfolio readiness.

My lessons are for university students, recent graduates, and professionals transitioning into UX/UI or product design. I also support junior and mid-level designers who want to strengthen their fundamentals, improve their portfolios, or prepare for interviews. Sessions are adapted for beginners as well as those working on advanced projects or real products.

My goal is to help students build confidence, clarity, and practical skills they can directly apply to their studies, portfolios, and careers.
