About Aliza
Hello, My name is Aliza! I am a senior undergraduate Political Science major, with a Pre-Law minor. My passion for tutoring began in High School after helping a friend revise her essay. I realized that there was beauty in helping a client find their thoughts and giving them the ability to display them on paper. In a way, my job is to help you find your voice and make it most palatable for others to understand. I now tutor for my university's writing center and absolutely love it. I've received many compliments from my employer based on my tutoring skills and performance. I'm eager to use the professional training I received there, and apply it here! My tutoring style is one of compassion and encouragement! First and foremost, I enjoy giving clients the confidence and tools to continue expressing themselves on paper after the session is complete!
I I typically cater my sessions to the client's specific needs and the phase of writing they are in.
I will usually ensure that they have a strong thesis and direction for the essay. From there, we can look at outlining and specific ideas you wish to convey. I also make sure that grammar and citations are accurate.
I am comfortable taking on ages 13 - 25. In other words, I prefer to tutor middle school, high school, and undergraduate students, as I have experience with those age groups.
