About Abigail
I have been a cellist for over a decade and have experience participating in music competitions, both solo and in ensembles, and have a plethora of pieces under my belt. I did NYSMA throughout my entire grade school career and was placed in area all state for the top-scoring soloists. I’m currently completing a music degree from SUNY New Paltz with very fine and knowledgeable instructors whom have worked with some big names in the classical music world. During my undergraduate studies I have had to participate in a studio class every semester. This is essentially experience in teaching lessons but as a group where I am required to coach my fellow classmates on the spot with an instructor present. I’ve taken years of lessons myself and now have a huge amount of helpful resources I’m excited to share with aspiring cellists that I would’ve loved to have in my own early years of playing.

My lessons would be tailored to the students needs and meet them where they are at. My approach would be focused on perfecting technique and applying it to relevant etudes and pieces that match ability levels. I would also work on preparing students for any upcoming school concerts or musical competitions (NYSMA).
