About Edelweiss
I am currently a senior high school student in Blackwood High School. I am studying Specialist Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, Physics and Chemistry. I have been highly interested the STEM subjects for the most part of my school life. This passion would lead me to pursuing Aeronautical Engineering after high school. This would be the first time I would be teaching, but I am extremely keen to help young students achieve their maximum potential and eventually reach their goal. My school life consists of plenty of STEM competitions as well as school community based extra curricular activities. This includes: Flinders University Engineering Challenge (which our school competed representing the state), PEER support for year 7s transitioning to year 8s, learning culture school committee (a team focused on developing new strategies to help both teachers and students approach learning more effectively), and many more.

I base my classes on the particular curriculum that the school follows. This however, does not mean that I do not teach my students the fundamental concepts and understanding behind the lessons. For me, it is very important to build up these foundations correctly in order for the young student to succeed. I can help students further their knowledge and understanding from the information they were given at school. This provides a seamless transition from school work to further homework. Furthermore, I can help students prepare for examinations in advance. To help build up their efficiency with tests and exams, it would be important to help the students find techniques they can use to approach a problem while still making sure they provide enough answers for maximum points. I can also provide more practice work from previous tests, drafting, and I can also help answer tricky questions.
I am ultimately here to make sure that the later part of high school life of my students goes smoother because they had a strong foundation in which follows the curriculum as well as the study techniques that hopefully I could help them build.
