About Nathan
When I was in elementary school I needed a tutor myself and understood that I had difficulties with certain subjects and need to go at a slower pace than normal students. Personally I understand how that feels and fully understand that each person is different in the way they think and the amount of time needed to grasp an idea is different for each individual. I was a tutor when a senior in high school helping freshman who struggled in algebra 1. Some students where struggling with math prior to algebra and it was hindering them from understanding the ideas in algebra. My goal as a tutor is to make sure that they actually understand the material so it can make learn the next subject that much easier!

I work at the pace of my students and understand there difficulties. Make sure to let the student attempt each every problem before assisting them and understand their thought processes. Everyone has a different way of viewing a problem and I try to see where my student comes from. I’m able to help everyone at a high school level and below at a proficient level. I start with what they currently are working on and ask about what they struggle on the most.
