About Andriana

Hi, I’m Andriana, an MSc Psychology graduate with several years of experience providing 1:1 educational and wellbeing support to young people with additional learning needs.

I specialise in supporting students who may find traditional learning environments challenging, including students with autism, ADHD, dyslexia/SpLD, SEMH and difficulties with organisation, concentration, confidence and independent learning.

My approach is personalised, supportive and student-led. I take the time to understand how each student learns best and adapt sessions around their individual strengths, needs and goals. I aim to create a calm, encouraging environment where students can build both their academic skills and confidence.

About the lesson

SEN & Study Skills Support I can support students with:
• Autism and ADHD • Dyslexia and other SpLDs
• Organisation and time management
• Executive functioning and planning
• Study skills and independent learning
• Concentration and motivation
• Academic confidence • Reading and writing support
• Essay planning and structure
• Exam preparation
• Transition to college or university
• Developing effective study routines

I have experience working with young people with a range of additional needs and understand that the same approach does not work for every student. Sessions can therefore be adapted to the individual's communication style, sensory needs, pace and learning preferences.

Psychology Tutoring I also offer Psychology tutoring from GCSE/A-level through to university level, including:
• Psychology theory and core concepts
• Research methods • Statistics
• Critical thinking and evaluation
• Academic writing
• Essay planning and structure
• Literature reviews
• Dissertation support
• Qualitative research
• Quantitative research
• Referencing and academic conventions
• Exam preparation

For university students, I can particularly help with understanding difficult concepts, developing independent academic thinking and improving the structure and clarity of assignments. My approach My goal is not simply to give students the answers. I want to help them develop the skills and confidence to become more independent learners. Sessions are relaxed, structured and adapted to the individual student. I use clear explanations, visual resources, practical examples and step-by-step approaches where helpful.

I am happy to work with parents, students and educational professionals where appropriate to ensure that support is consistent with the student's wider educational goals.
