About Pandora
During the Covid years I moved to the NT to be closer to my daughter and grandchild. While essentially retiring from the Education System I miss the joy of watching students' 'Aha!' moments. The education system is a necessary beast and easy to navigate if you know the tricks. I also recognise how many students have been traumatised by missing the individualised learning that face to face teaching can offer. Helping adolescents learn how to master their nerves, anxiety and lack of self-confidence into a weapon of mass achievement is a passion of mine. In facilitating understanding and critical thinking in students I am making my contribution to a hopeful and compassionate future.

I focus on the individual needs of students so your first hour lesson is free in order to assess your learning style and the level you start from. As a facilitator, I assist you in managing the stress of the Senior years, while also providing strategies for success in assessment and exams. These tools are also transferable to other KLA"s, university study and the 'real world' after school. We will work cooperatively to enhance your strengths, access your interests as a resource for memory retrieval strategies, and create masterful analysis of your set texts. My aim is to unleash your critical thinking skills in the simplest, most efficient manner possible, including editing of your work, teaching you how to identify and apply evidentiary support for your analysis and streamline a concise impactful argument.
Typically lessons are for an hour duration 1:1. They can be held at your home, the library at Casuarina or at a community room in the Darwin region.
I have 16yrs experience as a secondary teacher, particularly Advanced English, Ext 1 & 2 English with a high success rate.
