About Dennis
With 4 years of growing my chess knowledge from scratch I know chess can be an intimidating game to learn. I have been through it all myself as an adult and know how tricky things can be.
I watch and follow chess at the highest level so I am always familiar with what is happening in the chess community and have a wealth of topics to draw upon in lessons. I love chess and all its complexities and nuances.
Outside of Chess I am a Husband and Father that takes up most of my time. I am also an avid sports fan following many different leagues. I graduated with an engineering degree from UBC in 2015.

Hello!
I am new to the coaching world but very enthusiastic about everything chess. I learned chess myself 4 years ago just through curiosity and joy and feel like I have a lot to share with someone just starting their journey.
Lessons can be on anything from basic chess tactics, to opening theory, end game strategies, and game reviews as you grow your chess knowledge.
