About Jurand
Teaching Primary and Secondary Curriculum Music and teaching individual and group lessons to children and adult learners. Preparing for GCSE & A-levels in Music and also graded exams (up to grade 8). Guitar/ukukele, piano/keyboards andmusicianship with theory.
Author of a multi-sensory guitar tutor book and CD "6 String Fun" and producing an accompanying CD with backing tracks which allow students to gain experience of playing with a band or an ensemble.

I have beenteaching Music for more than20 years. I helped numerous students develop technique and expand their repertoire and to prepare for GCSEs and A-levels.
I use Kodaly and Dalcroze method that help develop solid musicianship skills.
I enter my insteumental students for ABRSM and Trinity exams as soon as they are ready.
During the lesson I ensure that there is time for warm up, working on long term goals, composition and improvisation and recap onwhat has been learnt so far.
