Experienced Maths Tutor — KS3, GCSE & A-Level | Online 1:1 Lessons Qualified maths teacher with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and 8 years' classroom experience.
Former KS3 Maths Curriculum Lead, now Head of Year — with a track record of outstanding GCSE and A-level results, including an average of +1 grade progress at GCSE.
I offer tailored 1:1 online maths lessons for students of all abilities, covering every strand of the GCSE and A-level curriculum. Rather than just teaching methods to memorise, I focus on helping students understand why and how maths works — so it sticks, and so they can tackle unfamiliar questions with confidence.

Every lesson begins with a short recall of what we covered previously — this helps reinforce learning, aids long-term retention, and gives me a clear picture of what we need to focus on moving forward. From there, we focus on the concept or skill the student wants to develop, working through it together with guided practice, and bringing in exam-style questions once they're ready to apply it under exam conditions. I teach using an interactive screen, allowing me to live-model questions step by step rather than simply explaining them.
Each lesson's focus is agreed together in advance, and having taught students of all abilities from KS3 through to KS5, I adapt my approach in real time to suit exactly what each student needs on the day.
