About Shannon
Welcome! With more than 30 years of experience as a secondary history teacher and private tutor, I am dedicated to helping students build confidence, master challenging concepts, and achieve their academic goals. Over the course of my career, I have guided students with a wide range of learning styles and abilities, creating a supportive environment where they feel encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and grow as learners. My approach combines high academic standards with patience, encouragement, and individualized instruction because I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance. Outside the classroom, I am the proud mother of three successful daughters and live in beautiful Santa Barbara, California, with my husband and youngest daughter, our two dogs, and one cat. I look forward to partnering with students and families to make history engaging, meaningful, and rewarding while helping each student reach their full potential.
