About Warren
Since completing my teaching degree in 2006, I have worked in two northern Sydney high schools, teaching students in Year 7–10 Science, Mathematics, Stage 5 Psychology and Stage 6 HSC Biology. During my teaching career, I have served as a Head Teacher, developing my skills to assist students and fellow teachers. This has included upskilling them not only in their knowledge but also in their ability to deliver content more effectively. I believe in technology as a tool to enhance learning, but not replace it. I also emphasize the importance of memory development through rote learning in building knowledge. I am proud of my ability to differentiate content to suit varying levels of ability, enabling students to achieve their full potential.

My teaching approach is to build an understanding of a student’s learning style and then work from there. Whether a student is an auditory or visual learner, struggling with a concept or an expert requiring support to ensure their answers are on track, I use differentiated learning techniques to assist their understanding of the content.
With over 14 years of teaching experience, my original degree was in Biology with a major in Ecology. This background allows me to support content in both Biology and Earth and Environmental Sciences.
Lessons are typically 45 minutes to one hour in length. I have extensive experience tutoring both high school science and music over the past 20 years.
I can accommodate students in Year 7 to 12, with a focus on senior students studying Biology.
