About Ellen
I was born in Germany to British and Dutch parents and lived in the UK (south coast) from the age of 10-18, after which I moved back to Germany and then continued my studies in The Netherlands. I am fluent in English and German and study a unique 'Liberal Arts and Sciences' degree with the aim of pursuing a masters degree in 2023. I worked very hard during my A-levels to obtain good grades and I know how challenging biology can be, especially with regards to exam technique so I aim to provide any help, support and advice for students who have the added stress of the pandemic during sixth form.

As I completed my A-level exams in June 2019, I can relate to A-level students and help them improve their grades from a student perspective. My A-level subjects were psychology, biology and chemistry but I now study an interdisciplinary biology degree in The Netherlands with a focus on aspects such as cell/molecular biology and genetics. My lessons are for A-level biology students: I can provide some insights, tips and tricks as to how I achieved A*AB via techniques such as simplified diagrams, notes and working through past exam questions. Lessons can be open and tailored to what aspect of the course the student currently needs some more help with. I will also happily try my best to answer any questions you might also have about chemistry and psychology.
