About Zoë
Hi, I'm an Astrophysics student entering my second year at the University of York. I have a strong academic background in Maths and Physics, achieving Grade 9s in both subjects at GCSE, an A in A-Level Maths, and a B in A-Level Physics. I also achieved a First in my first year at university, with 91% in my maths modules and an average of 73% across all of my modules.
Having completed these qualifications relatively recently, I understand the challenges students face, and I can explain difficult concepts in a clear and understandable way. I am passionate about Maths and Physics and enjoy helping others build confidence in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
I am reliable, organised, and committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace. I offer friendly and supportive online tuition for GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics. Having recently completed these qualifications myself, I understand which topics students often find difficult and how to explain them in a clear, understandable way. My lessons focus on building confidence as well as improving understanding, using worked examples, practice questions, and exam-style problems to reinforce learning.
Lessons are between 30 and 90 minutes long, depending on your schedule and needs, and can be tailored to suit each student's needs, whether that's catching up on challenging topics, preparing for exams, or improving overall performance. I am a Physics with Astrophysics undergraduate entering my second year in September, and I achieved a First in my first year. I also achieved Grade 9s in GCSE Maths and Physics, an A in A-Level Maths, and a B in A-Level Physics. My lessons are aimed at GCSE and A-Level students who want to strengthen their knowledge and feel more confident in their abilities.
