About Lara
Hi! I'm a second-year medical student at the University of Liverpool with a strong academic background in science and a genuine passion for teaching. I achieved grade 9s in GCSE Biology and Chemistry, and A grades in both subjects at A-Level. Currently, I tutor two GCSE students in science and aim to deliver clear, structured lessons tailored to each student's needs. My tutoring style is friendly, supportive, and collaborative. I’m always open to feedback and input from students about how they feel they learn best, what they’re struggling with, and what works for them. I also use my own observations to adapt my approach and ensure every session is effective. I focus on building confidence, improving exam technique, and supporting long-term learning using methods like active recall and spaced repetition. As a medical student, I bring both subject expertise and professionalism to every lesson. I'm approachable, reliable, and committed to helping students reach their full academic potential.
