About Caradoc

I am a twenty year old undergraduate, studying an English BA at the University of Nottingham. My talent for reading and writing stems from a very young age, alongside a passion for music and sport. My A Level grades, in secondary school, are A* in English Literature, A in Philosophy Ethics, B in history, and A in The Extended-Project-Qualification. In the latter, I studied the history and composition of electronic music.

I went on to study an English BA at the University of Nottingham, for which I have just completed my second-year. My experience at Nottingham has been hugely important for my academic and personal growth. So far my modules have included: creative writing in poetry, fiction, and drama, study of literature from the 16th century to the present day, study of theatre from the medieval era to the present day, analysis of medieval etymology and literature, and socio and psycho-linguistics. I have also engaged in student journalism at the University, and have recently stepped into the role of Editor-in-Chief at 'The Mic Nottingham': one of the most well-regarded student-music-publications in the UK.

All of these experiences have enriched my love of writing, English studies and my interpersonal skills. I am very eager to pass on what I learned to younger students, and point them towards a fulfilling academic path.

About the lesson

I have always had tremendous passion writing, and for English Literature studies. I am currently working at a high 2:1, as an undergraduate at the University of Nottingham. My experience in tutoring comprises a program, when I was fourteen, when I taught French to key-stage one students in fifteen minute sessions, and weekly half-hour long sessions, when I was seventeen, when i aided a GCSE student with English past-papers.

I can teach UK students currently engaged in key-stage 3, GCSE, or A Level education, with regards to exam help, homework,. Students should bring short or long-term schoolwork, related to commentary on texts, that they're currently working on. Over the course of an hour I will discuss the text with the student, help them to form their own insights, whilst somewhat providing some of my own, and aid them in cogent argumentation and writing. Should it be necessary, I can offer an introductory discussion of a text to a student, if I'm informed of it in advance.
