About Ira
Hi! My name is Ira, I'm a second year student at Clark University studying biology with a minor in marketing and studio arts. I've been tutoring students in English since I was in middle school; I've helped multitudes of students improve their grammar, build confidence in their speaking, and develop fluency in their writing. I'm a really easy going person and I'm down to help anybody where they need it. This is a no judgement zone, there's no need to be nervous about asking questions! English isn't my first language and I know how difficult it can be to pick up the numerous rules, spellings, and whatnots that it requires. But it's entirely possible to get this language down in no time and I promise I'll be there every step of the way :)

Regular discussion and conversation to practice vocabulary and grammar. Short quizzes biweekly to test new concepts. Each session, we will review past concepts before introducing new ones. I'll look over any essays or homework students may need assistance with.
In high school, I worked with ELL level middle schoolers to improve their comprehension via individual projects and open conversation. I am open to helping students learning elementary to proficient English, as well as middle school level students on essays and creative writing.
- In high school, I won multiple awards for short stories and received 4s on both my AP Language and AP Literature exam
