About Lily

With 11 years of experience, I have worked as a guitar tutor who truly loves helping others learn. I have taught around 150 to 200 students, including teenagers, college students, and older adults who want to follow their passion for music. Teaching people of different ages has taught me a lot about patience, communication, and the joy of watching others improve. I began tutoring because music changed my own life, and I wanted to share that feeling with others. One of the highlights of my career was helping a group of students prepare for their first live performance. At first, they were nervous, but with practice and encouragement, they performed beautifully. Moments like this remind me how powerful music education can be. In my lessons, I focus on simple steps and easy-to-understand explanations. I believe that learning the guitar should be enjoyable, not stressful. I work closely with each student to understand their goals and help them progress at a pace that feels right for them. Whether they want to play for fun or aim for something bigger, I support them every step of the way. Seeing students grow—from strumming their first chord to playing full songs—brings me great pride. Teaching has helped me grow as well, and I continue to improve my own skills so I can give students the best experience possible. I look forward to meeting new learners and helping them discover the happiness that music can bring. Teaching guitar is not just a job for me—it is a calling that I am grateful to follow every day.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for guitar is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I help students stay motivated by keeping lessons simple, fun, and goal-focused. I celebrate progress and make sure each lesson feels meaningful. Communication is at the core of my teaching. I use easy explanations, step-by-step guidance, and practical demonstrations. I encourage students to speak openly about what they find difficult or interesting. Integrity guides my lessons. I am honest about what needs improvement and always offer supportive, realistic guidance. I carefully design lessons that help students grow steadily. Creativity makes learning enjoyable. I include musical games, short riffs, rhythm challenges, and song-based learning. Students can explore their own ideas and develop confidence in their playing. Besides guitar, I also teach related areas such as basic theory, rhythm skills, and songwriting for students who want to expand their musical abilities.
