About Sylvia
From the early onset of a young child, I always dreamed of becoming a teacher. At my home, I can remember playing school with my sibling and the neighborhood kids.
This inspired me to work hard in school and later on after graduating from college, my dream came true.
I continued to teach for 33 years and still enjoy seeing my students' eyes light up when they succeed.

I am a graduate from the University of Lynchburg with a teaching degree in Elementary Education. I love teaching all core subjects. I am engaging and use best practices in education; lots of hands-on activities.
My teaching methods and technique include textbook instruction, one-on-one virtual lessons, a classroom environment, project-based learning, interactive lessons and on-going practice. You will be able to interact virtually with other school-age peers sharing ideas and lessons.
You will gain tutoring resources from my 33 years of elementary teaching experience. I welcome and encourage parental involvement in the learning process. My lessons are engaging, catered to your child's needs and full of fun!
