About Bianca

Hello, I recently wrapped up teaching Integrated Humanities in a beautiful international school in Bangkok, Thailand, using the International Baccalaureate framework for the Middle Years Program. I mainly pay attention to: - trauma-informed education - anti-oppression My comprehensive training with Steiner senior management from the United States and New Zealand gave me a solid foundation in holistic child development. Being a journalist in Rappler enriched my worldview as well, especially defining truth to power democracy. Rappler is a Manila-based news website co-founded by Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Ressa, where I’ve collaborated with both senior management and fellow writers for the intensive coverage of the 2016 Philippine presidential race. It brings me great fulfillment to design learning experiences in a reconstructionist lens.

About the lesson

I prioritize student-centered learning and have been successful based on my students' feedback - Immersive teaching in international schools in 3 different Southeast Asian countries with stark socio-cultural contrast, diverse staff, parents and students - Taught using Steiner, Montessori, Cambridge and International Baccalaureate curricula through a trauma-informed lens - Depth of knowledge and application of body-based techniques to support student well-being and learning "Due to her dedication to her students, Bianca has an outstanding rapport with all members of the school community.
