About Susan
I have a B.A. and M.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Northeastern Law School. I served as an educator and founder of the service-learning programs at several top US law schools including: Yale Law School (1996-1998), Penn Law School (1998-2007), Stanford Law School (2007-2009), and Rutgers Law Schools (2014-2023). I've taught legal writing and Academic Support to undergraduates and law students. My teaching experience also includes tutoring struggling readers through the Joyful Reading Program, and teaching 9th grade English Language Arts and Special Education.

My lessons are engaging, interactive, and individualized based on my students' learning style. My lesson plans strive to provide students with opportunities for practice and feedback.
My experience includes tutoring first- and second-grade reading, using the Science of Reading approach, as well as middle-school English.
I am a lawyer and legal educator, and have experience in teaching legal writing to law students and academic support to struggling undergraduates.
