About Nestor
I hold a PhD in bioengineering from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc in biological and bioprocess engineering from the University of Sheffield. I am very charismatic, patient and very easygoing. I love to share what I know about science with people from different backgrounds and academic levels. I have worked in laboratories doing scientific research for the past 5+ years, so my experience and knowledge go beyond the theory taught in schools and universities. If there's a basic concept you don't fully understand I can help you with that but if what you're looking for is something more advanced we can read scientific literature together and deeply discuss it. I have taught undergraduate medicine and nutrition students molecular biology and cell biology. I also have experience as a tutor in synthetic biology, biotechnology, bioprocesses engineering, and biochemical engineering. Although my experience teaching is focused on undergrad students, I feel comfortable teaching students of any age and background. I know everyone is different, so I like to tailor my lessons to the student, so every lesson would be different depending on the person. My tutoring goes from sharing and discussing scientific literature to exploring basic biology and chemistry concepts.
