About Masha
I have nearly a decade of teaching experience in Biology and Chemistry in grades 7-12, including AP Biology and IB Biology at top independent schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. I also have university-level tutoring experience.
I hold a degree in Molecular Biology from Brandeis University with completion of PreMed requirements, in addition to an MFA from CalArts.

My lessons are fun and personalized, and tailored to support any curricular goals of the students. I make complex topics approachable and engaging, and I'm really fun to work with. I teach lessons in Chemistry and Biology to students from Middle School, High School and University.
I am happy to support existing curriculum in which the student is enrolled, or create hands-on lesson plans to develop concepts. My teaching approach carries emphasis on critical thinking and building strong conceptual frameworks as opposed to simply mass memorizing.
