About Sara
I have completed 2.5 years of a bachelor of science in biochemistry and am currently studying to become a respiratory therapist. I have been tutoring in maths and sciences for 6 years. These courses include math, chemistry and physics with a focus on high school academic/advanced placement levels from grade 9-12.

I am a very positive instructor who aims to build students confidence in solving problems by teaching them how to evaluate their questions.
To teach I start by getting my student to explain to me what they know and what they do not know. Then I will explain the process they are having difficulty understanding in a couple different ways until I feel they have a good grasp on the topic. When solving problems I begin by explaining the process to solve the problem then show them how to do it. I will then solve the problem along side them and then watch as they complete it by themselves. This technique has been proven to be very successful when tutoring for maths and sciences.

My rates begin at 30$/hour. If you are wishing to work on two subjects with me it is best to book 1.5 hours so you have 45 minutes per subject.
