About Alexandra
I have a passion for helping students learn. I am an educator with experience in teaching middle grades science classes, high school science electives, and experiential science courses for homeschool students. For the last two years, however, I've had the joy of tutored high schools students that were in the biz. My students excelled in their subject areas (one of my students struggling in algebra made dramatic improvements (D's to A's and B's!)) and completed high school early!

I have a student-centered approach to teaching; I think it's important for students to reflect, explore, and synthesize information in a meaningful way in order for them to connect to and build upon their knowledge. I facilitate opportunities for students to gain new perspectives by incorporating the senses with the subject matter.
