About Jack
I am currently a science and maths teacher so have up to date understanding of the curriculum. I've been tutoring since starting my A levels when I set up a club to help students with their GCSEs. I've kept going from there due to my love for teaching. I love science, particularly Biology. I graduated with a 1st in Microbiology at the University of Manchester. I always love talking to people about science and enjoy finding ways to make the subject interesting, especially to those who struggle to enjoy it. I love 1-1 sessions where I can devote time to personalising the content and sessions to suit a person's needs. For me, being creative and finding new ways to teach key concepts that help to improve someone's understanding is the best part of my job.

I have always been passionate about teaching and for me enjoyment comes from finding different ways to help someone go from not understanding to feeling really confident in their understanding. My aim is to build student confidence no matter their starting ability. My sessions focus on exam technique by getting students to mark model answers and practise application skills, so they can apply their knowledge to various exam scenarios and questions.
Additionally, I have experience working in special needs schools and can offer support to SEN students. I am good at finding creative ways to engage learners with different needs.
I have tutoring experience of 10 years both in person and online. I can offer face to face sessions in the Withington/Didsbury area as well as online. I offer 1 hour sessions. Please contact me if you have any further questions or would like to know more about what I can offer.
