About Bear
Hello. Cantonese is my mother tongue. I graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where I also taught Cantonese. I was trained under Professor Samuel Cheung to teach Cantonese using the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) system, which is particularly effective for English speakers. This method helps learners pronounce authentic Cantonese accurately, rather than relying on mimicry. I studied full-time at the Graduate School of Peking University for three years and have been working as the Chief Academic Officer at A Culture Group. For those seeking to learn traditional, undistorted Sinology, I am glad we have finally found each other.
