About Kai Ian
I was born in sunny Singapore, where I completed high school and two years of mandatory military service before studying at the University of New South Wales as a medical student.
While not from a predominantly chinese-speaking household, I studied hard and managed to top my cohort in SL Chinese Language B, attaining 96% and an Academic Award (2020). Learning to overcome many academic struggles and hurdles in the process, my wish as a tutor is to be able to impart my gained experience and knowledge to students whose position I was once in.

Hard work and discipline is key in the pursuit of academic excellence. At the same time, I believe that a keen interest in the subject and motivation is just as important. As such, I actively employ patience and adaptability as my teaching philosophy.
