About Katherine
To go alongside my passion for teaching I have a 1st Class Honours Degree in Physics with Planetary and Space Physics and a PGCE in Physics from the University of Oxford. I have been teaching for 8 years and have over 200h tutoring experience (all alongside my regular teaching!)
I became a Physics teacher because I was fed up of the stereotype being usually older men! We need more young people (particularly girls) using their Physics knowledge to flood the fields related to Physics.

Hello Wonderful Students,
I’m Kate, a female Physicist with a passion for learning. My current role is as Assistant Headteacher in a Secondary School.
I have extremely high expectations of myself and my students and expect all to achieve.I believe that learning should be an invigorating process in which we enjoy learning new skills and concepts. My teaching is largely through modelling how exam questions should be approached in order for you to improve.
My students love my lessons as they get to participate rather than just listen. They get feedback both positive and where improvements need to be made and they always know that the tasks we complete are purposeful and meaningful.
My lessons are 45 minutes long and include home learning tasks that are marked and reviewed prior to the next lesson.
I teach all exam boards of GCSE and A-Level Physics however my current slots are for GCSE Physics only.
(I have a waiting list for A-Level for September if you would like to be considered).
