About Siddra
Hello! My name is Siddra Mahmood and I am an Accounting & Finance graduate from the University of Birmingham with several years of experience tutoring GCSE Maths and GCSE Biology students.
I have supported students studying across all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel and OCR specifications. My aim is to make learning engaging, build confidence, and help students achieve their target grades through a structured and supportive approach.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs.

My lessons are carefully planned around each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and academic targets. At the start of tuition, I assess areas for improvement and create a personalised, structured learning plan to ensure steady progress throughout the year.
A typical session is divided into two key parts:
* Theory & Understanding (approximately 20 minutes): We review and strengthen understanding of key concepts, address misconceptions, and revisit topics covered in school where necessary.
* Application & Exam Practice (remainder of the lesson): Students apply their knowledge through exam-style questions, problem-solving exercises, and past paper practice to develop confidence and exam technique.
As exams approach, sessions become increasingly focused on past papers, mark schemes, timing and examiner expectations, helping students maximise marks and develop the skills needed to perform under exam conditions.
I provide regular feedback and progress updates to parents where appropriate.
