About Radin

I worked for nearly two years as an SAT Mathematics Instructor at Nakhjevani Academy before moving to Toronto to study Computer Science at York University.
I started teaching because I genuinely enjoy it. The moment when a student goes from frustrated to "wait, that actually makes sense" is one of the best feelings, and I never quite got over it.
Outside of teaching, I'm the kind of person who likes building things. I've worked on personal projects in machine learning (a housing market prediction platform) and full-stack web development, and I co-presented an AI workshop to over 100 lawyers and judges. I think being a good tutor means staying curious yourself, and I try to model that for my students.
I speak six languages: English, Persian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, French, and Arabic, in varying levels. It's something I picked up partly from growing up in a multilingual region and partly from genuine curiosity about how people communicate.
I'm patient, reliable, and care more about whether a student actually understands the material than about getting through a syllabus quickly. I take my work seriously without being stiff about it.

About the lesson

I'm originally from Tabriz, Iran, where I worked for nearly two years as an SAT Mathematics Instructor at Nakhjevani Academy before moving to Toronto in early 2026 to study Computer Science at York University.
Here's what working with me actually looks like:
First session. We start with a quick diagnostic so I can see exactly where the student is, what topics they've covered, and where the real gaps are. By the end of the session, I know what we're working on and the student leaves with a clear plan.
Regular sessions. Each lesson has a focused objective (for example: linear equations, factoring quadratics, geometry word problems). I walk the student through the concept, work through examples together, then have them solve problems on their own while I watch and correct. We finish with a short review so the material actually sticks.
Materials and homework. I prepare the practice problems, handouts, and any worksheets we need. If the student has school homework or test prep, we work through it together.
Communication. I respond to messages the same day, show up on time, and let parents know how their child is progressing if they want updates.
I'm patient, organized, and easy to get hold of. If you message me, I'll get back to you the same day to figure out whether we'd be a good fit before anything is booked.
