About Alexander
I am attending Northeastern University this fall as a Molecular and Cell Biology Major. In High School, I earned a perfect score on my SAT as well as on my Math II and Chemistry Subject Tests. I also scored the highest score of a 5 on my AP Chemistry, Biology, and Calculus BC Exams. Last year, I was a geometry tutor through my high school NHS Chapter and I made substantial progress with the student whom I was helping. Although my description may only list 5 subjects I am comfortable teaching most subjects studied by any subject up through middle school. For advanced lessons my best subjects are math, chemistry, biology, and SAT prep.

I have learned through experience that students tend to learn better through a three-step process often used for young doctors going through medical school. The old adage goes, "see one, do one, teach one." In essence, I base the class around problems and solving questions. I will first show a student how to approach a type of problem. Then, I will have them do a different problem of the same type, before, finally, having them explain back to me how they arrived at their answer. We repeat this process as many times as needed until the student has grasped a concept before moving on.
