About Sophia
Hi, I’m Sophia Loughnane
I’m a friendly and caring 15-year-old who really enjoys helping others learn and feel confident in themselves. I come from a loving family with my two moms, my older brother, and my little sister, who I absolutely adore. I also have a really strong bond with my cat, who’s a big part of my life.
At school, English is my favorite subject and definitely my strongest. I find it both fun and easy to understand, and I’d love to use my skills to help others improve their reading, writing, and confidence with English.
I’m a very social person and have a big circle of friends, so I’m easy to talk to and good at making people feel comfortable. I’m patient, kind, and always happy to listen, which I think makes me great at working with younger students.

I focus on creating a supportive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment where young learners feel confident to ask questions and try new things. I believe that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s pace, strengths, and interests.
Lessons usually run for 45–60 minutes
This allows enough time for learning, practice, and review without overwhelming younger students
While I don’t have formal tutoring qualifications yet, I am passionate about helping children learn and grow.
