About Manojie
I was introduced to the wonderful world of music from the young age of 4 in both violin and piano. Growing up with music I had the opportunity to join the Philharmonic Orchestra of Sri Lanka at the age of 13 while further pursuing and completing my studies in both violin and piano. Some of my achievements include: Diploma in Violin performance (LRSM) and Advanced certificate in Piano Performance from The Royal Schools of Music, UK. Pursuing my studies further I also earned my Diploma in violin performance (LGSMD) from The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, UK. Winning the “String category” British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance, and Speech; Scholarship to an orchestral training program directed by Andrew Sherwood in Hertfordshire, UK. Winner of an orchestral training string quartet composition competition. I was also a Gold and silver medalist in string, piano, and woodwind category for Descant Recorder, Violin & Piano in Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Education’s All Island Music competition. I have been Performing with many orchestras in Sri Lanka, Singapore and Canada for the past 34 years.
