About Theodora

I am a Certified Teacher of the ABRSM, I acquired my Certificate of teaching of ABRSM in 2012. I was trained In London at the Royal Academy of Music and In Athens at the Athens Music Conservatory and The Nakas Music Conservatory In my Piano Education was trained with Rousoudan Bolkvantze a teacher of The Tchaikovsky Conservatory. In Counterpoint I was under the tutelage of Early Music Specialist, Panagiotis Adam at the Athenaeum Music Conservatory in Athens In Advanced Harmony with G. Ploubidis at the G. Michalakeas Music Conservatory of Athens. I have also participated and attended numerous Vocal Masterclasses in Athens, London and Italy. I teach Children and adults of all ages Professional Singers & Actors who wish to improve their vocal potential or prepare for an audition or a theatre performance. CEO's of companies. Amateur singers. I encourage all of my students to develop fast and organise their own concert or prepare for grades and music festivals! -

Hello! I am Theodora Stamoulaki, a Royal Academy of Music Postgraduate Alumna (PGDipRAM in Singing Performance) with over 20 years of elite instructional experience. Currently a trusted tutor for the Kingston Music Service and formerly a long-standing senior tutor at
The Conservatoire (Blackheath Village).

Vocal Coaching (Advanced & Beyond Grade 8): Specialising in Classical Opera, West End Musical Theatre audition preparation, and Standard Jazz styling.
Piano Tuition (Beginner up to Grade 7): Developing flawless foundational technique, artistic expression, and comprehensive keyboard skills.ABRSM Music Theory (Up to Grade 5): Structured, clear preparation to help students confidently pass the mandatory Grade 5 theory barrier required for advanced practical exams.

MY TEACHING APPROACH

I believe that keeping lessons fun, inspiring, and flexible is the key factor for truly effective learning. My approach focuses on teaching core technical aspects through pieces that are beautiful, engaging, and tailored directly to my students' preferences. For younger learners, I regularly integrate popular, interactive musical activities to keep them fully focused.The bond that develops between teacher and student is foundational to the learning process. It creates a comfortable, supportive environment where students feel safe to express themselves, regardless of their level, age, or ability.
This mutual trust naturally builds a student's inner confidence, motivation, and lifelong love for their instrument. I deeply empathise with each student, respecting their unique needs and helping them successfully navigate the common challenges that arise during learning and private practice. Furthermore, I always provide both students and parents with specific, actionable tips to ensure that home practice remains joyful, structured, and effective. Regular, transparent communication with parents regarding student progress and meticulous exam planning is a core principle of my practice.

LOGISTICS & AVAILABILITY - Travel Territory
Providing premium, in-home 1-to-1 lessons across Richmond, Kew, East Sheen, Twickenham, Surbiton, and Kingston.Current Availability: Strictly limited slots remaining for Monday mornings and Thursdays between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Saturdays between 11.30 and 4.30pm.
