About Sarah
I am a junior pursuing an undergraduate music degree with a concentration in vocal performance. For almost a year now, I have been a tutor in music theory and my students have experienced much clarity and confidence in the subject as a result. In college, I have participated in recitals, concerts, and workshops. Last fall, I was chosen to partake in a masterclass with internationally renowned artists. My experience in singing includes 15 years of choirs and private lessons, and I have been fortunate enough to receive perfect scores at the annual New York State School of Music Association festivals. In high school, I was a member of the All County Chorus for 3 years in a row and I even qualified as a New York State Alternate.

Whether you want to take vocal lessons or you want tutoring (or both!), our sessions will be centered on what you want to work on.
No matter your experience or background in singing, I would love to help you grow into the most comfortable, confident version of yourself so that you can truly enjoy singing! I believe that developing healthy vocal technique is essential for any style you want to sing, whether it be opera, musical theatre, pop, etc. Our lessons will involve warmups of the voice (scales & other exercises) and working on a piece of music that you want to practice. We can also work on sight-sighting if you want to work on those skills.
If you want to gain a solid understanding of music theory or if you want some extra help, I would be happy to tutor you. We will work on the topics you want to go over, and I'll be happy to share some study methods. If you want to get better at Roman Numeral Analysis, the Circle of Fifths, writing 4 part harmonies, etc, we will find the study tools that will work best for you. Even if you are just interested in the subject, I would be happy to tutor you!
