About Ryan

I am a rising high school junior (class of 2028) at Lakeside School in the greater Seattle area. I am a straight-A student and have participated in and won many math tournaments, such as consecutive first-place finishes in Washington's Math is Cool competition. This past year, I also scored a 5 on my AP Calculus BC exam.
I am passionate about sharing my love of math with others, sharing that satisfaction I find whenever a hard math concept or problem clicks with me, and tutoring is a practical way I have found to engage peers and students while helping them succeed.

About the lesson

Eager to share a passion and love for mathematics with the younger or peer generation (grades 5-9). Tutor sessions will cover any subjects or topics upon request and will be taught straightforwardly and effectively while also maintaining a sense of friendliness and fun.
Extensive experience working with youth as both a summer camp counselor and a tutor.
Equally eager to explore new math concepts with a rising middle schooler or drill AP FRQs with a high schooler.
In the sessions, not only will students train to improve their math skills, but they'll also learn to think critically about new problems, which transfers to mathematics and to the life skill of problem-solving in general.
