About Divyam
Hi! My name is Divyam, and I am currently a student at Rice University, majoring in kinesiology, as well as minoring in cell biology/biochemistry and statistics. I hope to go to medical school in a few years to ultimately become a doctor, preferably something related to orthopedics. In my free time, you will probably find me training for tennis to play on my Division I college team, and also tutoring around my local area.
Since I was a kid, I have always loved math, and I believe that that has translated well into my ability to help students improve in math. I have tutored all levels of math, from elementary level to AP Calculus BC. I also love to tutor SAT and ACT (all sections) as I have found that most students struggle not due to the difficulty of the exam, but because they do not know HOW to take the exam, which is key if you want to ace the test. I took the SAT and ACT a few years ago and scored a 1560 and a 36, respectively, and I truly believe I can help you gain the confidence you need to ace the exam come test day.
Additionally, I recently took the MCAT exam for medical school admissions and scored in the 92nd percentile, so if you're looking to bump up your MCAT score some points, I would be happy to help you reach your goal score!
Finally, I would also be more than happy to take a look at your college essays and help with college applications, if that is something you would be interested in.
