About Elizabeth
My name is Elizabeth Grace Sharp, and I am currently an undergraduate double major in political science and business at Rice University! I have adored writing all my life, whether this was creative or academic, and have consistently achieved in every one of my history and English classes, whether it be AP African American, AP US, AP EURO, AP Comparative, and more. I was also the president of a literary magazine at my high school and have published my work in numerous small magazines.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students feel not only more confident in their writing abilities but also to engage critically in the content they work on. Tutoring is often INCREDIBLY daunting so it's one of my number one priorities to be both a friend but also a mentor. I will expect high things of my students but only because I know they can achieve it. My lessons are for 8th-12th graders who are beginning to complete more complicated and advanced essay and thesis topics. This includes providing feedback on personal essays for college applications. I am also open to teaching creative writing to all age levels.
